Training Courses
In association with NUCO Training we deliver a range of Regulated Level 1, 2 & 3 industry-based courses in Food Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid. Please contact us to discuss your requirements
Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
This is an excellent introduction to Food Safety in Catering and will benefit all employees at all levels, particularly those who hold, or are about to hold, a food safety role, such as a safety representative, within their catering organisation. The course will clarify aspects of food safety which many of us believe to be complex and daunting.

Level 1 Safeguarding Awareness
This qualification will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person.

Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults
The course promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding, enabling learners to identify the types and characteristics of abuse, record disclosure and appropriately share information with the relevant people

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW)
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace, this three-day qualification will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (PFA)
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations

Level 3 Basic Life Support, AED and Anaphylaxis
The qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and practical competence required to be able to recognise and treat adults who have become unresponsive, suffered cardiac arrest or are having a life-threatening allergic reaction (Anaphylaxis). Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to respond quickly, calmly, and confidently and provide life saving treatment.

Appointed person course
Where an employer’s assessment of First Aid needs identifies that a First Aider or Emergency First Aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement on an employer is to appoint a person to take charge of the First Aid arrangements, including looking after equipment and facilities, and calling the emergency services when required.
